Pastoral Search Committee Q&A Session – Sunday, 29 January 2023
As a follow-up to the candidating weekend, the Pastoral Search Committee (PSC) will hold a Q&A session for anyone who has additional questions about the candidate or the search process. Please join members of the PSC at 9:15am on Sunday, 29 January 2023 in the 4th-5th Grade Classroom (off of the Fellowship Hall). We will meet both in-person and over Zoom (meeting ID 691 469 136)
Congregational Vote for Pastoral Candidate will be on – Sunday, 5 February 2023. The members of the congregation will join in the next step of the search process by voting to approve the call for the candidate to become the Senior Pastor. The vote will take place during the congregational meeting that will take place on Sunday, 5 February 2023 at 1pm. All members, including those who become members on 5 February, are eligible to vote. A 2/3 majority is required to approve the call. The PSC asks for prayers of discernment leading up to this meeting.
The Fire and Ice Stock the Pantry event is coming! Join us for a spectacular fire spinning performance performed by Chicago’s very own BeLove, along with fire pits, hot beverages, s’mores kits and hotdogs (while supplies last!). This is a great way to introduce family, friends, or co-workers to our church and meet others in our community. Admittance to the show is an item needed for The Outreach House:
- Soap, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner
- Diapers of all sizes, pull-ups, formula, baby food, baby wipes
- Shelf stable food of all kinds, (beans, tomato sauce, peanut butter, jelly, rice, pasta, canned tuna & chicken, mac and cheese, soup)

Seniors Invited to Defer Property Taxes. Qualified senior citizens, aged 65 years and older are invited to apply for the Senior Citizen Real Estate Tax Deferral Program. The program allows participants to defer property tax payment until payment until the property is sold. The deferral is treated as a loan and accrues 6 percent simple interest until paid. To qualify, the applicant’s household income cannot exceed $65,000. Additionally, the property must be used exclusively for residential purposes.
