This Little Light Classes are for young children that are provided at no cost to the community. These classes create a positive, nourishing environment for children to be exposed to a variety of social and educational experiences, specifically in the arts.
The purpose of the events are:
- To offer a service to local families a loving fun experience for their kids
- Increase our church’s presence in the local community, offering opportunities to invite families to worship with us and enjoy our Sunday school and children’s ministry opportunities
- Help provide balance to our church’s strong global mission work by creating opportunities for local influence for Christ.
Classes include opportunities like the following:
- Explore sound and music
- Bringing literature to life through dramatic reading.
- Art projects that go with the class’ theme
- Providing opportunities for children and parents to engage with and learn from families who are different from them, whether it be cultural or language differences, cultivating relationships with those with special needs, socio-economic disparities, or different backgrounds of any type
This Little Light Outreach Events also include:
- Creating free large-scale events for families in DuPage County to engage with our church and spread our love through the community. (Clothing Closets, Food Drives, Trunk or Treats)
- Partnering with other local Christian organizations and churches to create a true Outreach program that brings Christians together.
2023 Back to School Event
Hello Members & Friends,
I am pleased to share that our Back to School Event was a huge success. I want to thank all of the faithful congregants that made donations and volunteered their time. We had a wildly successful event and we were able to donate 40 backpacks to children in need. This doubled our original goal of providing 20 backpacks! We were also able to donate 13 pairs of shoes to SD 45 with Laces for LOVE and we provided an amazing afternoon for all of our participants.
I am so grateful for all of the hard work and donations that helped make this event possible. I am so proud that Christ Covenant Church was able to make such a huge impact on our community, I am so proud to be part of this congregation. Great job everyone!

FIRE AND ICE STOCK THE PANTRY EVENT

The “Fire & Ice Stock the Pantry Event” was a huge success. My heart was warmed by the generosity of our neighbors and our congregation who came together for a night of fire and fun that benefitted The Outreach House. 70% of people receiving help from The Outreach House are “working class families”. These people are our neighbors, friends, and colleagues who are working hard and living paycheck to paycheck. Your generous donations to The Outreach House helped our neighbors in need, surprisingly 22.4% of DuPage County families live in poverty which makes places like The Outreach House a blessing to our community. Thank you to all of my helpers that assisted with the event, none of this would be possible without you. I am so grateful to have such an amazing group of people to serve God and the community with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

A very special, “Thank you” to all who helped with our Gingerbread Jubilee! Many thanks to those who donated gifts to Angel Tree families as well. The event was a HUGE success and brought joy to many local families. Thank you for making this Christmas a special time for the families who need it the most!
