Lent began this week. We encourage you to find ways to draw close to Jesus through the season of Lent in order to prepare for Easter. There is a family calendar available in the foyer (or contact children@christchurchvp.org for a digital copy). It provides a simple explanation of Lent and offers three things to give up with three activities to do each week.
As we prepare for a new Pastor, please prayerfully consider volunteering your time to CCC. A pink volunteer survey has been distributed in the sanctuary.. This is a great opportunity to try something new, please keep in mind that children and teenagers are encouraged to serve and volunteer as well! The “Fire & Ice Stock the Pantry Event” was a huge success. My heart was warmed by the generosity of our neighbors and our congregation who came together for a night of fire and fun that benefitted The Outreach House. Thank you to all of my helpers that assisted with the event, none of this would be possible without you. I am so grateful to have such an amazing group of people to serve God and the community with. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
