GINGERBREAD JUBILEE 12/18/2022 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
This Little Light is hosting the “Gingerbread Jubilee” on 12/18/2022 immediately following service. Bring your entire family for an afternoon of making gingerbread houses, drinking hot cocoa, music, Bingo, prizes and much more! All participants will walk away with a special Christmas goodie bag and we will be enjoying a pizza lunch as well. There is no age limit and all families and individuals are invited to attend! We are combining this event with the Angel Tree Ministry to help spread some Christmas cheer to the families who are participating in the Angel Tree program. Please register by December 11th; thank you for your cooperation!

YOUTH CHRISTMAS PARTY 12/11/2022 12:30 – 3 p.m.
The Youth Director is hosting a White Elephant gift exchange and Christmas party for children grades 6th-12th. Please contact Peter Lee for more information.

CHOOSING YOUR ANGEL TREE CHILD
Angel Tree is a wonderful program that connects children to their parent who is in prison. We have the opportunity to make that connection happen by purchasing gifts on behalf of the parent and giving it to their children. You can choose your Angel Tree children by following this link: https://tinyurl.com/CCCAT2022. We are purchasing two gifts for each child, the total should be between $30-$40 for the two gifts (if you would like to purchase just one gift, please either partner with a friend or contact Paul to share a child). Please have the gifts brought to the church by December 11 to be prepped for the Angel Tree event on the 18th. Please contact Paul Mast Hewitt with any questions. We still have four children that are in need of an Angel Tree sponsor!

HELP SUPPORT OUR MISSIONARIES
The Advent and Christmas season is a wonderful time to bless and encourage our supported missionaries, so we will be collecting monetary donations to send to them. Our missionaries include: the Volands, the Daos, the Richmonds, Kathy Choi-Lee, Maddie MacMath, the Shims, and Greg Jao. If you would like to contribute, you may give via check/cash to the offering basket or via Zelle. Please submit your contributions by Friday, Dec 9, and note in the memo section “Missionaries Christmas Gifts.” Thank you for your generosity during this season of celebrating the birth of our Lord and Savior! There will be Christmas cards in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, December 4th, for the congregation to sign. Please be sure to sign the cards to help our missionary families feel loved during this special time of year.

COVENANT CARES!
This Christmas, consider gifts that demonstrate the love and hope of Christ around the world: choose a category in the Covenant Cares gift catalog and let your family and friends know you are honoring them with this gift. Catalogs will be available in the foyer at the church, or you can visit the website

FOOD PANTRY UPDATE
We have had an increase in families needing assistance, so we need to replenish our food pantry. We are looking for donations of toilet paper, kleenex, paper towels, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, body wash, soups, tuna, canned chicken, canned vegetables, beans, pasta, pasta sauce, mac & cheese, cereal, oatmeal or frozen meals. Items can be placed in the basket to the left of the counter in the foyer.

WE NEED YOU!
Please prayerfully consider donating your time helping with various aspects of our Sunday worship gathering. There are a number of roles that are available (listed below), and teens and young adults are encouraged to volunteer. Training can be provided! If you would like to volunteer remotely, there are options for you as well! If you are interested, contact Erin Douglass at officeadmin@christcovchurchvp.org
